Our impact report 2025-6

‘Our story of hope’ demonstrates the impact our work has had on accelerating rewilding across Britain in this past year.

We produce an Impact Report annually to demonstrate our impact as a charity, reporting on how we’re putting our Wild by Nature strategy into practice to drive systemic change across Britain. Combined with our financial statements it tells the full story of how we’ve accelerated and championed rewilding across Britain, how we raised and spent our money, and how we operate as an organisation.

Within the pages of this year’s Impact Report, ‘Our story of hope’, you’ll discover how we’ve grown rewilding into a national movement, shifted the political dial, and supported ground-level teams scaling up nature recovery.

Whether you’ve taken action on a campaign, partnered with us, donated, helped shape our ambitious strategy or are rewilding where you live, thank you – we couldn’t have done this without you. Reshaping a system takes many hands.

    PUTTING REWILDING ON DEFRA’S MAP

  • Pen and land icon

    SECURING BOLD REFORMS FOR SCOTLAND

We influenced the Land Reform Bill to require landowner biodiversity plans, co-hosted the country’s first Rewilding Hustings, and surpassed
10,000 signatures for the Rewilding Nation Charter – shaping a bolder future for Scotland’s nature.

SEEDING A WELSH WAY TO REWILD

We co-founded the Welsh Rewilding Alliance to campaign together, launching The Welsh Way to Wild report and gaining formal recognition
of rewilding by Natural Resources Wales for vital coastal enhancement work.

    SUPERCHARGING REWILDING

We surpassed £1 million in seed funding to 86 Rewilding Innovation Fund projects, removing critical early-stage barriers, and awarded the annual £100,000 Rewilding Challenge Fund to a fourth project, demonstrating ambitious, landscape-scale restoration partnership working in practice.
