Finance and Operations Manager
We are looking for an experienced finance and operations manager to ensure the smooth running of Rewilding Britain and our work. Working alongside the chief executive, you will help to manage the full range of our internal activities – in particular, our finance function, and HR and IT systems.
You will have the right technical skills, and sufficient experience, to operate at strategic, managerial and administrative levels. You will be managing budgets and forecasts, controlling costs and ensuring our strategic programmes are well resourced and planned. The role will require collaboration with others to produce measurable, cost-effective results.
This would suit someone looking for a part-time role working from home for up to 2 days a week. There will be some flexibility in determining your work pattern.
Rewilding Britain is at an exciting stage of its development. We are a small but growing charity, currently with six staff and with further posts being added this year. We all work from home, but with regular meetings in person and via video call. We have a highly experienced Board of Trustees with eight members.
We’re working hard to encourage the uptake of rewilding across Britain, helping to catalyse key large scale rewilding pilot projects and influence policy. In April this year, we launched a report Rewilding and Climate Breakdown, which highlights the significant role rewilding can play in decarbonising the economy. Our parliamentary petition, which accompanied the report, gathered 100,000 signatures and led to the first parliamentary debate on rewilding on 28thOctober.
There has been a surge of interest in our work and as a result we are scaling up our operations. As we develop, we want to ensure the highest standards of financial management and administration. If you have what it takes to help us, please send your CV, your reasons for applying for the job, and where you believe your skills set match our criteria, to firstname.lastname@example.org
